Located at the foot of some of the most impressive volcanoes in South America, Riobamba is a city known for its stunning natural surroundings. Walk around the city of Riobamba

Riobamba was founded by Spaniards in 1799 so its architecture is based on European styles. Just a stroll through its streets and you’ll realize that this city is different and special.

You can visit the Plaza Mayor, which was the first square built in the city and where the cathedral is located. You can also choose to see some of its most important museums, such as the Museum of Religious Art of La Concepción, which preserves the cultural traditions of Old Riobamba.
