Iceland in miniature
If you want to make the most of your Reykjavík experience, we recommend that you venture on a Snaefellsnes Excursion. On this peninsula, you can immerse yourself in its natural scenery and explore its sand reefs and cliffs.
You can also feel like a true Icelander by visiting the fishing village of Arnarstapi. There you can taste the famous Hakarl, which is a fermented shark dish. One of the most typical of the traditional Icelandic food.
Watching the Northern Lights
You can’t leave Iceland without seeing a Northern Lights. This incredible nighttime spectacle is one of the most famous in the country. If you want to live a unique and unrepeatable experience you can’t miss this natural phenomenon.
Did you know that each aurora borealis shows different colors? Although the most common are green and bluish tones, almost all colors and combinations can be seen in these. 🌈
The golden circle
If you consider yourself very adventurous you can’t leave Iceland without exploring the golden circle. This area is famous for its tourist attractions and scenery. You will also be able to go into the Silfra fissure and see the Geysir Geyser, the oldest geyser in the country.
Did you know that the golden circle is named after the Gullfoss waterfall? The name of this double waterfall literally means “golden waterfall”. It is so named because at sunset a golden light is reflected on its waters. And it is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Iceland
No doubt one of the most unique experiences you can have in Reykjavík is the whale watching. In Faxaflóis Bay you will see humpback whales and white-beaked dolphins, peculiar because of their beak-shaped snouts.
The most common whales are humpback whales, which can reach up to 13 meters. Also popular are minke whales, which usually reach up to 9 meters.
